Expert talk by Dr. R. S. Parmar

In a process to enrich students with the wide application of modern welding technology, the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an expert talk by Dr.R.S.Parmar on 13/11/2017. Dr.R.S.Parmar is B.E.(Mechanical Engineering) from Punjab University, M.E. Hons.(Production Engineering) from University of Roorkee and Ph.D(Welding) from IIT Kharagpur. Dr.Parmar, a renowned author, researcher and the recipient of many national and international awards along with life time membership of Indian Society for Mechanical Engineers. Dr.Parmar explained under water and space application of technology with the help of interactive videos and slides. Dr.Parmar also explained use of welding technology in the construction of massive structure like ships, on shore oil rig and modern high rise building across the globe. He also suggested students and the faculty members to take up welding technology as their research area.
