The FDP is taking place under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme-Phase III (TEQIP-III) and sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The inaugural session of this FDP was held on June 24, 2018, Monday.
The programme commenced with lighting the lamps by the Chief Guest Prof. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, IIFDTU, Delhi, Prof.(Dr.) Vipin Garg, Advisor ABESIT, Prof. (Dr.) Manish Kumar Jha, Director ABESIT and Prof. (Dr.) Sapna Katiyar, Head & Dean (Academics) ABESIT.
41 faculty members from different Institutions viz. Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar, JIIT Noida, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Noida International University Greater Noida, RKGIT Ghaziabad, IDEMI Soft, Inmantec Ghaziabad, NIET Greater Noida, GNIOT Greater Noida, IMS Ghaziabad, ABESEC Ghaziabad , ABESIT Ghaziabad and others are attending the FDP.
From the School of Geo-informatics & Remote Sensing, Amity University, Dr. Praveen Kumar Rai initiated the first session and Dr. K. K. Singh from an affiliated institute of AKTU delivered the second session on remote sensing in rural development. At the end of the day, the speakers shared their knowledge on the tools and applications used in image processing and remote sensing.
