Day 1 : 5-Days FDP on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering is organising a 5-Days Faculty Development Program on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Interdisciplinary Approach for Applications”. The Programme is taking place under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme-Phase III (TEQIP-III) and sponsored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The inaugural session of this FDP was held on June 12, 2018, Tuesday. The programme commenced with lighting the lamps by the Chief Guest Dr. Anil Singh Parihar, DTU, Delhi, Prof.(Dr.)Vipin Garg, Advisor, ABESIT , Prof(Dr.) Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan, Director, ABESIT.

56 faculty members from different Institutions viz. GGSIPU, ABESEC, Bennett University, GLBITM, GNIOT, IIMT, IMS, RDEC, ITS, JIIT, JPIET, MAIT, NIET, JSSATEN, GCET, Amity School of Engg. & Technology, RKGIT, Rajkiya Engineering College & ABESIT are attending the FDP.

The first speaker for FDP was Dr. Anil Singh Parihar. He focused on basic concepts of Machine Learning by giving an example of face recognition.

The second session was conducted by Mr. Praveen Kumar Chaudhary in which he focused on the basics of Python and its use in Machine Learning. He also conducted a hands-on session on Python.
