About
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at ABESIT Group of Institutions was established in the year 2007 intending to offer a B. Tech Program in Electronics and Communication Engineering, with the coverage of the following categories.
Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- Image and Speech Processing
- Embedded System Design
- Wireless Communication
- Optical Communication & Networks
- Antenna & RF Systems, and
- VLSI.
The department provides all students with an opportunity to work on live projects, apart from arranging internships in many different industrial settings.
It also ensures students’ participation in various National and International level Competitions. Regular workshops and seminars are a common occurrence in the department. The Technology Business Incubator of the Institute encourages students to innovate and prototype development for which it has collaborated with the leading industries and R&D organizations.
Some of the salient departmental highlights include the following:
- 160+ students have been trained so far
- 3 Faculty Development Programs have been conducted
- Students’ regular participation in quizzes
- Submissions of proposals in the Drishti contest organized by Texas Instruments in the Center of Excellence “Analog and Embedded System Lab”.
- 6 students have been trained in the Center of Excellence “Advanced Robotic Control for Industrial Automation”, which has been set up in collaboration with Indo Euro Synchronization APS GmbH European Center for Mechatronics, Germany
- Expert Talk in Center of Excellence “Power Electronics and Drives Lab” in collaboration with Entuple Technologies
- 30+ students have been trained in the Center of Excellence “e-Yantra Lab of Embedded System and Robotics”, which has been set up in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and sponsored by MHRD through the National Mission on Education through ICT. 6 teams of students have registered for e-Yantra “eYRC-2018”
