e-Yantra Lab Initiative in Embedded Systems & Robotics

E-Yantra is a project by IIT Bombay to spread education in Embedded systems and Robotics, however e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) supports infrastructure creation by providing a platform for training teachers both in theory and applications of Robotics, in addition to providing guidance in setting up a Robotics Lab.
Four Teaching Faculty of ABESIT attended a two days workshop on the basic concept of Embedded Systems and Microcontroller programming organized by IIT-Bombay from 30th to 31st May, 2016. Two faculty members of ABESIT attended a two days workshop on e-Yantra at RKGIT, Ghaziabad organized by IIT Bombay from 10-11 August 2018.
e-Yantra Robotics competition is being conducted by IIT Bombay. In this competition 46 teams of ABESIT has registered. Three teams have qualified for the next round.
Assessment session of our students conducted by IIT-Bombay through Skype on 28.02.2017. eYantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) of IIT-Bombay invited IDEAS of projects to be developed and implemented at National Level. It is a matter of pride that an IDEA “Autonomous Postman for Society” of ABESIT team of 4 students namely Bhanu Prakash ECE III year, Pranjal CSE III year, Venu Gopal ECE II year & Priyanshu ECE III year has been selected for eYIC-2017 (eYantra Idea competition).
A National level task based training was conducted by IIT Bombay followed by an assessment of 40participating teams from all over the country. Out of the top 8 teams, ABESIT’s team of teaching faculty comprising of Prof. Pawan Singh Mehra, Dr. Ravindra Kumar, Prof. Balbir Singh and Prof. Pradeep Kumar won the coveted class “A” award and a cash prize of INR. 6000.
