Guest lecture on “Data Science”

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organised a guest lecture on ‘ Data Science’ for the 3^rd Year CSE students, on 10th August 2018. Prof.(Dr.) Girish Sharma HOD MCA, BPIBS Delhi was invited as Expert to share his understanding and experience on the topic ‘Data Science’. Data Science incorporates both the technical and non-technical issues and phenomena that arise from the explosive rise in data. It provides methods of collecting and analysing the data and visualising the results. The objective of this lecture was to introduce students to Data Science Techniques with a focus on the applied application problem. Students gained experience in identifying, which problems can be tackled by Data Science methods. The lecture concluded with an interactive question-answer session between the expert and students.
